Monica Scala nasce e vive a Roma.

Lavora da più di 25 anni all’Istituto di Studi Giuridici Internazionali, istituto del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche dove è responsabile della segreteria di direzione e  membro del Consiglio di Istituto. Si occupa tra le altre cose dell’editing di numerose pubblicazioni e dell’organizzazione di convegni internazionali, seminari ed incontri di studio.

Nel tempo libero ha sempre amato dedicarsi ad attività artistiche di diverso genere dal decoupage alla creazione di gioielli, attività che le hanno permesso di risvegliare la creatività presente in lei.

Nel giugno del 2013 ha partecipato ad un corso di Art Clay Silver tenuto da Paola Mattioli. E’ stata sempre Paola a farle conoscere le paste polimeriche. In questo ultimo anno ha partecipato a numerosi workshop con le più famose artiste di paste polimeriche del mondo come Donna Kato, Cara Jane Hayman, Bettina Welker, Judy Belcher, Nikolina Otrzan e Ana Belchì.

Monica Scala was born and lives in Rome.

She has been working for more than 25 years at the Institute for International Legal Studies, a National Research Council (CNR) institute, where she is responsible to the executive secretary. She is also a member of the Institute Council. She deals, among other things, with the editing of several publications and with the organization of international conferences, seminars and study meeting.

In her spare time she has always loved to engage in various artistic activities, such as decoupage and jewelry making, activities that have allowed her to express her creativity.

In June 2013 she attended a course in Art Clay Silver held by Paola Mattioli. It was Paola again who introduced her to polymer clay.

In the last years she has participated in several workshops held by the most famous polymer clay artist in the world, like Donna Kato, Cara Jane Hayman, Bettina Welker, Judy Belcher, Nikolina Otrzan and Ana Belchì.
